In the November issue of of the leading U.S. Retail IT magazine, RIS News, Lacoste USA's successful roll-out of Cegid's POS software was high-lighted along with the company's current U.S. pilot of Cegid's Web Access POS solution.

In France, this Web Access technology was launched in 2004 and is currently running on over 2,500 points of sale.

"The company chose a POS SaaS from Cegid... ...The POS offers a new level of visibility to store managers, who can now get real-time metrics for sales associate productivity and store performance analysis, including revenue per customer. Sales associates can view inventory at other stores and leverage store-to-store transfers. Overall, transaction times decreased, inventory transparency increased, and performance and customer service rose at both store manager and associate levels."

Unrelated to the Lacoste project, Cegid's strategic IT services partner in the U.S., PSS (Point of Sale Services), was named as a leading IT services supplier in the U.S. retail sector (ranking #7) based on a recent survey of over 125 U.S. retailers by RIS News.

According to Cegid U.S.' managing director, Sebastien Bourgeois, "...having both a major customer along with our strategic IT services partner in the U.S. high-lighted as market leading companies in their respective business speaks volumes to the adoption of Cegid POS on the U.S. market and our growth potential in the coming years. We congratulate both partners on their success!"
